Royse City Youth Sports Association

Welcome to Royse City Youth Sports Association

The Royse City Youth Sports Association (RCYSA) is a volunteer-based, non-profit youth sport organization that was founded in 2020. The sole purpose of the organization is to provide quality sports and recreation for the children who reside in Royse City and surrounding areas. We promote year-round sports programs and provide the organization and leadership necessary to carry on such programs in the best interest and to the advantage of all participants. Our programs are open to all players of all levels and experience.

We currently offer baseball and softball sports programs.

RCYSA also works in conjunction with the City of Royse City, and the Royse City Independent School District, to provide a clean and safe recreational environment for all participants and volunteers.

Message from the President

Parents and Coaches,

Thank you for getting through this first season with RCYSA. It had it's ups and downs with the weather, field conditions, and other cities. I want to thank every coach, volunteer, and committee member for making this season happen. Without you, we would not have a program in Royse City. We are making a few changes for the upcoming Fall season and beyond.

First, we are separating ourselves from Quinlan and Wills Point. We will only play with Caddo Mills and we are in conversation to add Community to our league. Fall registration will open on our website on July 1st and run through July 23rd. The registration fee will be $95 for tee ball and 8U. Tee ball will receive their uniforms with the fee. Late registration will run through August 6th and will be an additional $20. 10U - 14U will be $115 plus $20 for late registration. Practice will start in August and we will have an 8 game season over 6 weeks with the playoff tournaments finishing before Halloween. All spring age groups apply to the Fall season. Players do not need to move up until spring of 2022.

I also want to clarify our field agreement with the city. We only lease the fields from the city. This means that we are bound by their decision on field use after it rains. If the city feels that the fields are not ready they will not allow us to play and will close the park. We ask that you abide by their rules so we do not tear up the fields while they try to get them ready for game play. We are responsible for all trash in the park so we ask that you help pick up trash in the stands and the dugouts after practice and games. The lights go off at 10pm every night so it is hard for our volunteers to go around and check when the lights are off.

We also need more volunteers to help with concessions and events. Please reach out to us if you are interested in helping.

I hope to see as many of you as possible in the Fall.

Rob Miles

President

As always, masks are optional at practices and games and you should practice social distancing around the fields.
