NEW DRAFT INFORMATION FOR BASEBALL, SOFTBALL, AND TEEBALL

The league is implementing new draft guidelines in order to ensure a more competitive environment for the kids.

  • Teams will now be capped at twelve (12) players per team.
  • The number of teams will be dependent on the number of coaches that volunteer.
  • Anyone that registers after the available player slots have been filled will be put on a waitlist, and will gain a spot in the order they registered as additional coaches volunteer or if any non-waitlisted players drop.

Players must enter the draft (and attend skills day) unless they are returning to their prior season team (going back up to two seasons for kids who took a season off to play another sport). Parents (not coaches) may appeal to the RCYSA Board for an exception to this but must demonstrate a legitimate need and not a preference.

Teams 10u and up will be allowed three (3) coaches on the roster those coaches kids are guaranteed a spot on the team. All other coaches will be deemed volunteer helpers and their child is not guaranteed a spot.

Teams 8u and below will be allowed four (4) coaches on the roster those coaches kids are guaranteed a spot on the team. All other coaches will be deemed volunteer helpers and their child is not guaranteed a spot.

The T-Mobile Little League® Call Up Grant is dedicated to helping families in need by covering registration fees associated with their local Little League program. T-Mobile and Little League share the belief that every child should have the chance to experience Little League, regardless of their financial or personal situation.

Since we are an approved Little League charter association, the T-Mobile Little League® Call Up Grant is available for all of our baseball, softball and teeball age divisions. Prior to filing for RCYSA Financial Aid, apply first through the T-Mobile button link below.

The Royse City Youth Sports Association awards Financial Aid to families who qualify based on income and family size.

To be eligible for Financial Aid assistance, several requirements must be met:

  • The player must be registered during regular registration and not late registration
  • The player must live in and be a resident of Royse City. (Residency documentation required)
  • The Application for Financial Aid must be submitted (including all supporting documentation) prior to end of regular registration
  • Certain income/need requirements must be met, as determined by the RCYSA Board
  • Financial Aid only covers the registration fee
  • If approved for Financial Aid, uniforms and equipment are not included and are the responsibility of the player/parent

*Applicants must re-apply each season for Financial Aid.
